Interim Meeting of the Agricultural Innovation Project Held in Portugal*i

The interim meeting of the IN_AGRICULTURE project, carried out under the Erasmus+ programme, took place in Alcáçovas, Portugal.

At the meeting, coordinated by the local Agriculture and Forestry Directorate, the activities carried out during the project’s first seven months were shared with partners through a detailed presentation; objectives, the activity/timeline plan, and the distribution of responsibilities were discussed. Assessments regarding the development of training materials were also addressed on the agenda.

Over the course of the three-day programme, participants visited regional agricultural enterprises to observe firsthand the integration of technology into agricultural production. Smart water management systems, the use of photovoltaic (solar energy) applications in agricultural areas, and circular economy models were among the main topics examined.

An official reception held as part of the meeting strengthened cooperation and the exchange of experience between local authorities and international project partners.

In the final session, topics such as the modernisation of vocational training in agriculture, climate-resilient production methods, and the dissemination of innovative technologies were discussed. An action plan for the next working period was drawn up and responsibilities were allocated. The meeting concluded with a certificate ceremony for participants.
